There were four of us and three picky eaters among us. Everyone had a delicious meal and our 7 year old said it was the best food he's ever had (which I've never heard him say before). Lots of hot and cold choices and all was fresh at 11am on a Friday morning. The seating upstairs with nearby bathroom is a big plus if you're with your family. We will probably stop here on all future city trips.

Open kitchen is......there.
It is good, not great. Overpriced, not expensive. Slow, not painfully so. Crowded, not anxiety inducing crowded.
If there was any serious competition for this joint I imagine it would fold. That said, there is no competition for it and it is....there.
So yeah, if you are nearby you should go. -

This place is two blocks away from Empire State Building. About 4 mins walk. Good variety and fresh food. Portion control is an art that I still have to master. Must try the Avacado mango salad. Also both hot and cold food is good. Quick service.

This place may be my favorite place in a mile radius of my workplace. I don't even know how to describe it, but I will try. When you walk in, there are several stations where you can pick up soup, salad, poke bowls, Ramen and sandwiches. They also offer a buffet with two tables of Super Fresh and healthy options. Once you filled your plate and got your drink, you take it to a central check out area where they move you through as quickly as possible. The entire area is also very, and there is a seating area up above, and there is a seating area up above. Takeout is also available
The food on the buffet aisle is amazing. It is fresh, and tasty. They offer sushi rolls that actually have fish in them and the day I was there there were some made with turmeric rice. The salads and fruit is fresh and rotated regularly throughout the day. From what I understand nothing gets put out the next day that was on the table the day before. They are also only open from 11:30 to 4, so you know there is nothing nasty being offered.
The first day I was there I had to poke bowl and it was incredible. I want with the tuna and added an avocado for an extra dollar fifty, and it was an incredibly feeling lunch. The fish was as fresh as you could imagine, and the vegetables were as well. The Poke bowl comes with your choice of rice, as well as cucumber and other vegetables. I don't think you can go wrong with anything here frankly. -

Looking for a quick spot with lots of variety and healthier options? This is an indoor food market with serve yourself hot bar options and individuals vendors that have everything from salads to burgers, Mediterranean and sushi. I took my food to go but there is plenty of seating. Nothing gourmet but lots of good food!
Connected to a sushi and smoothie shop you can stop by as well.
